Award Timing and Review Requirements

Reviewers receive their review reward 30 days after all initial round 1 reviews are submitted. However, if the author submits a new draft during this period, different conditions apply.

When a new draft is submitted, existing reviewers must accept the new review round within 7 days. If they fail to do so, other reviewers may be invited to take their place. The original reviewer only forfeits their reward if another reviewer accepts the position before they do.

For accepted review rounds, reviewers must complete their review of the new draft within 14 days of submission. This 14-day requirement applies to all review rounds. If a new reviewer takes over, they follow the standard timeline starting from their acceptance date.

Failure to complete any review round within 14 days makes the position available to other reviewers.

Rejection Process

If two out of three reviewers reject a paper, a specific refund process is initiated. The reviewers receive 50% of their review reward, while the author receives a full refund of their Lexature amount plus 50% of the review costs.

Publication Timeline

At the end of the 30-day period, the paper is marked as published with its current Lexature score. If no Lexature score has been assigned, all funds are returned to the respective parties.
